Exploring Kauai Island from Kaha Lani
Kauai Island Map Princeville Poipu Kapaa Wailua Kilauea Waimea NaPali

Kauai is the oldest and most Northern of the chain of Hawaiian Islands.  It is the most tropical and is aptly called the "Garden Isle".  Kauai is truly a paradise with lush foliage, majestic mountains, sparkling waterfalls, winding rivers, and deep green valleys.

The beaches are many, ranging from "Tunnels", "Anini" and "Hideaways" in the north to "Donkey" and "Lydgate" on the Royal Coconut Coast.  Turn south and you find "Poipu", "Shipwreck", and "Barking Sands".

Exploring and hiking are among the best in the world as the Waimea Canyon, the Kalalau Valley Lookout, and NaPali Coast beckon. Hike up to a spectacular vista or down to a secluded beach.  Don't miss the Kilauea Lighthouse in the north or the Lawai & Allerton Gardens near Poipu.

Golf opportunities are unsurpassed on the Islands.  Princeville to the north has two championship courses and many famous holes.  The Coconut Coast has one of the best US municipal courses at Wailua, the new Puakea Club located just outside of Lihue, and of course, Kauai Lagoons.  Sunny Poipu to the south has Poipu Bay and Kiahuna.

Shops, markets, and restaurants abound in the Lihue and Coconut Coast area.  Princeville to the North and Poipu to the South add their own list of many shopping and dining opportunities.
